What We Do

The Office of Research Affairs is the hub for information and resources for every stage of the research life cycle.

We are located in the Dean's Office suite on the 14th floor of Bressler Research Building.

Our Services

Pre-award – Review and manage the pre-award process

Grant application – Streamline the grant application process and assist with limited grant submissions

Multi-PI grant – Oversee compilation and submission of large or complex multi-PI grant applications

Compliance – Offer investigators insight and direction on the regulatory compliance process

New funding – Identify and notify investigators and administrators about funding opportunities

Grant logistics – Assist in acquiring letters of support, proofreading, and assembling proposals. All requests for assistance must be made at least two months prior to the deadline

Collaborations – Identify and establish new, interdisciplinary research collaborations

Cohesive connection – Act as the linchpin to interface between departmental research administrators and UMB compliance staff
