Account Holds
Potential Registration Errors
A hold on a student account may prevent timely registration. A hold may be placed by certain departments for various reasons:
- UMB Student Health Center
- UMB International Students
- Student Financial Services
- UMB Required Trainings (e.g., Title IX, Prescription Drug Prevention)
- Missing emergency contact information
A student may check for account holds via the Student Profile on SURFS. To resolve the hold, the student should contact the office which placed the hold for next steps. If the hold is the result of incomplete training, the hold will be lifted sometime after training is completed and confirmed. The student will not be permitted to register until the hold is resolved.
