Advancing Biomarker Science Worldwide
The CCRL Mission
The Clinical Core Research Laboratory (CCRL) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, is committed to advancing biomarker science worldwide through expert design, methodological rigor, diligent conduct and thorough documentation in an environment of academic excellence and collaborative sponsor engagement.
About CCRL
CCRL is a CAP-accredited and CLIA-certified reference laboratory that was founded in 1992. The CCRL operates to a rigorous standard. It has been audited (without cause) by the FDA on four occasions with no findings.
CCRL provides high-quality support for the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical trial phases for the in vitro diagnostic industry, pharmaceutical sponsors, NIH-funded clinical trials, and investigator-initiated research. Our activities span multiple disciplines and specialties.
Our work has played a pivotal role in the FDA approval and clearance of many laboratory-based diagnostics, as well as providing insight into the mechanisms of disease and prognosis, and therapy guidance for a global network of industry and academic collaborators.
