BaltimoreCrowds gather around a television
in a cafe of a village —
of a country in pursuit
and they see Baltimore.

They then see you
and everything will be alright.

Children gather —
It’s reading time in a library
of a territory in despair
and hear of Baltimore.

I throw my tambourine
in the air to catch an angel’s attention.

And shift the hands of time
so they then see you
and know that everything
will be alright.

People line for care
at a bedouin hospital l—
in a remote village, waiting
and reading of medicine —
and breakthroughs from Baltimore.

I throw my heart up
the clouds — and pull rainbows.

If they could see the view from this stage
and see you, all of you,
they’d know everything,
everything will be alright.
