Our Mission

To support, enhance, and expand the work of the Department of Psychiatry (with an emphasis on Problem Gambling, Employee Assistance Programs, telemental health, and addictions), and to provide the highest quality of mental health and addiction services for the employees of the following:

  • University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) campus and related organizations
  • University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS)
  • Faculty Physicians Inc. (FPI)

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is a free, confidential counseling service for all UMMC employees and their family members.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) provides free, confidential counseling services for all UMB employees and their family members. The EAP helps individuals with stress, depression, anxiety, marriage counseling, and more.

Services provided by Faculty Physicians Inc. (FPI) include free, confidential counseling for FPI employees and their family members. Services also include family counseling, career planning, parenting difficulties, and more.
