Biosketch
An interventional radiologist, Dr. Nezami specializes in percutaneous and transarterial interventions and imaging with a focus on interventional immunology and oncology procedures. He coordinates care with oncologists to treat patients with liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, lung cancer, renal cancer and bone cancer as well as portal hypertension, deep venous thrombosis and associated complications.
Prior to joining University of Maryland School of Medicine, he practiced interventional radiology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Nezami holds professional memberships with Society of Interventional Oncology, Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiology Society of North America and European Society of Radiology.
Research/Clinical Keywords
transarterial or percutaneous oncology procedures including radioembolization, drug eluding beads, or chemoembolization; locoregional therapies with immunotherapies or chemotherapies for liver, renal, and lung cancers.
