Education and Training

Raymond E. Kim, M.D.is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He also serves as Gastroenterology Division Head at the UMMC Midtown Campus.

Dr. Kim received his medical degree from the Ajou University School of Medicine. He completed her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas and Kansas City VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He completed her fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Geroge Washington University in Washington, D.C. In addition, Dr. Kim finished addtional advanced endoscopy training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Kim research and clinical interests include Barrett's esopahgus image analysis, endoscopic surgery and suturing, endoscopic submucosal resection and POEM (Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy)
