Biosketch

Dr. Bruns has been at the University of Maryland Medical School since 2012 when he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. Specializing in Emergency General Surgery, Trauma, and Surgical Critical Care, Dr. Bruns is very active clinically and treats a wide array of complex surgical conditions. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Surgery in July 2016 and maintains a robust research program in addition to mentoring fellows and residents.
