Education

Training the next generation of cardiologists is one of the three pillars supporting our mission to improve the lives of people with or at risk for cardiovascular disease. Our Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Program, directed by Mukta C. Srivastava, MD, includes the following tracks:

  • Cardiovascular Disease: a 3-year ACGME-accredited and ACC-recognized fellowship program. Following successful completion, fellows are eligible to take the ABIM subspecialty exam in cardiovascular disease for board certification.
  • Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology: a program for fourth-year cardiology residents emphasizing the diagnosis and management of arrhythmia disorders and symptoms, including noninvasive and invasive diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, pacemaker implantation and follow-up, and ICD implantation and follow-up.
  • Interventional Cardiology: a program dedicated to preparing cardiology fellows for careers in academic cardiology, with a particular emphasis on interventional procedures such as stenting, balloon angioplasty, and rotational atherectomy.

For complete information on these programs, including application instructions, visit the Cardiovascular Disease Training Program.
