Academic Nephrologist (Position 3-309-1025)

The Nephrology Division of the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has an opening for our expanding clinical programs at our Downtown and Midtown locations.  In addition to inpatient and outpatient clinical services, the candidate will also be expected to be involved in focused basic/clinical research.

This position requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), and candidates must be eligible for an independent Maryland medical license.  Successful candidates must also be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.  Excellent clinical and teaching skills are also required, as instruction of medical residents and fellows is integral to our clinical programs.

Faculty rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with experience, although we anticipate the position will be as Assistant Professor or higher.

Expected faculty rank for all positions is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience.
