Clinical Cardiologist (3-309-991)

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has a opening for a full-time cardiologist.  This unique position combines the benefits of private practice cardiology along with academic opportunities.  This hybrid opportunity encompasses private practice style office and hopsital setting, as well as the occasion to teach and conduct research in an acaemic institution.  We are looking for a highly motivated provider with noninvasice skills, willingness to build a practice, and the desire to teach residents and fellows.  

This placement will be shared bewteen our main downtown Baltimore campus and one outreach site.  With the right candidate, we are hoping to combine the best of both worlds of the private practice setting wiithin the environment of academic medicine. 

This position requires a MD/DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine.

Clinical Co-Director, Cardiovascular Medicine (3-309-1019)

The Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine invites nominations and applications for a clinical cardiologist to co-direct our Cardiovascular Medicine Division.  This position will be responsible for the overall clinical direction of the Division and for fostering highly collaborative efforts with our clinical partners across the University of Maryland Medical System.  

Successful candidates will focus on service lines to enhance the local, regional and national reputation of the division and will grow procedure volumes and market share for cardiology patient services.  Ideal candidates will possess outstanding clinical skills with a strong commitment and experience in patient care and teaching, as well as a history of successful clinical research.  We expect that this position will participate in all aspects of the clinical cardiology programs at the University of Maryland Medical Center (downtown and midtown campuses) and the Baltimore VA Medical Center, and also anticipate that this position will encourage and promote commercialization of technology, as well as increase clinical research activities.  

This position requires a MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and successful fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine.  Candidates must also be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license and be board certified in cardiovascular medicine.

Academic Electrophysiologist (3-309-1053)

The Cardiovascular Medicine Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting an Electrophysiologist for its expanding Electrophysiology (EP) Program. Our service is active in all aspects of diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology, including complex ablation of VT and atrial arrhythmias, extractions, biventricular pacing, atrial appendage closures and innovative device therapy. Candidates will be expected to expand our clinical programs as well as to provide clinical care to patients at the University of Maryland Medical Center and its outreach locations.

Successful candidates should have a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), be board eligible or board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology, and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. In addition, a strong interest and experience in teaching and clinical activities and demonstrated experience in research is desired.
