UMB Summer BioScience Students Learn Lifesaving Techniques

Stop the Bleed

July 10, 2017

On Friday July 7, 2017,  SBIP students participated in the Stop the Bleed training, a national awareness campaign to empower the public to employ simple techniques to stop life threatening bleeding and help save a life.  Stop the Bleed was launched in October of 2015 by the White House. The program was led by Trauma Surgeons Drs. Laura Buchanan, Rosemary Kozar and Dr. Jason Paisley, an Air Force surgeon, from the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Full story and Video
