MEDT 421 Urinalysis/Body Fluids

This course covers the anatomy and physiology of the genitourinary system, procedures and principles behind the complete urinalysis, including physical, chemical, microscopic properties, and genitourinary disease status. Other body fluids including spinal fluid, synovial fluid, seminal fluid, amniotic fluid, transudates and exudates, and fecal analysis are also covered. Specimen handling, analysis and disease correlation are discussed for all fluids.
