Vendor Specials

Dell* and HP offer employee personal purchase specials. These offers are listed here as a convenience for faculty, staff, and students who are interested in making an equipment purchase for home use. Please be aware that University licensed software is enterprise level software and may not be compatible with the Home versions of Microsoft's operating systems. XP Home, Vista Home, and Windows 7 Home operating systems should not be purchased if a purpose of the personal computer or laptop purchase includes the need to work from home, nor should these operating systems be purchased by departments expecting to connect the equipment to the SOM network. If you intend to connect from home to your desktop or network file share using a VPN client, purchase the Business or Ultimate version of the operating system. The suggested retail prices are not applicable for the Employee Purchase Program.

  *Dell audits employee personal purchases. The difference between the retail price and the discount price will be charged to the charge card used to make any purchase that was found in violation of the employee purchase program.
