Project Professional
Microsoft Project Professional is a highly robust project management suite designed to keep your projects, resources, and teams organized and on track. Like Visio, Project Professional is deployed as its own application to your computer. It can also be installed on up to 4 other personal PC's by downloading from the Office 365 software portal (https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx)
Project Professional is only available for the PC at this time.
The cost for Project Professional is approximately $85.50/user/year, and is chargable or payable to your department. Please contact the SOM Helpdesk for more information.

Project Online for Office 365
Project online is a free service that allows creation of MS Project files without the robust desktop application experience.
Project Online requires an additional license and it must be requested from SOM IS. Please note: Project Professional desktop software is NOT included with this license. To launch Project Online, simply log into the Office 365 portal or your SOM email via OWA. In the upper left hand corner, click the "
" icon, and select "
".
SOM IS recommends trying Project Online to see if it meets your needs before requesting the full Project Professional license.

Visio Online for Office 365
Visio Online for Office 365 is an available add-on for SOM users. Visio Online combines the simplicity of creating/modifying Visio diagrams in your browser with the ability to have a copy of Visio installed locally on your PC.
Included with your Visio Online license is an available local installation of Visio Professional. It is also available for download in the Office 365 software portal (https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx).
Microsoft Visio is currently only available as a download for the PC. The cost is approximately $24/year and is chargable to your department. Please contact the SOM Helpdesk about purchasing a Visio license for Office 365.
Launching Visio Online
From OWA or the O365 Portal (https://portal.office.com) click the app launcher 
and then search for 
View, create, and edit a diagram in Visio Online
