On October 14, 2022, the Department hosted the Anesthesiology Research Retreat at the Southern Management Campus Center on the UMB Campus. The retreat provided an opportunity for our researchers to present their latest scientific discoveries and emerging technologies in basic science research. This one-day conference brought together over 50 of our basic and clinical investigators, junior faculty, fellows, staff, and students, who exchanged and shared experiences in all aspects of Anesthesiology research including brain and spinal cord injury, trauma, sepsis, coagulation, lung biology, mitochondrial bioenergetics, and, big data/machine learning.
