She was the chosen awardee from all anesthesiology residents and fellows. The Physician colleague awards recognized Dr. Gourdine for her strong service, teaching, leadership, and collaboration skills with nursing students.

Congratulations to Dr. Michael Mazzeffi, MD for being awarded the 2020 Mid-Career Grant by SCA-IARS

Congratulations to Dr. Michael Mazzeffi, MD Associate Professor for being awarded the 2020 Mid-Career Grant by the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) and the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS). Dr. Mazzeffi received this award for his research project titled “Von Willebrand Factor Concentrate for Treatment of Acquired Von Willebrand Syndrome During ECMO: An in vitro Dose-Finding and Efficacy Study.” The award, $100,000 over two years, supports investigators' research projects in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia.
