Salma Kiani, O.D. F.A.A.O, joined the University of Maryland in April 2016 as a part-time clinical instructor. She completed the Doctor of Optometry at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry as part of the inaugural class of 2013. Dr. Kiani graduated on the Dean's Honor List. Dr. Kiani completed an Ocular Disease and Co-Management Residency at Omni Eye Specialists affiliated with Salus University. She supervised fourth-year optometric interns as well as technicians from various optometry schools in the United States and Canada. Dr. Kiani served as an instructor for the Ophthalmic Medical Assisting Course Part 2 at Community College of Baltimore County. She has a strong interest in volunteering for various vision screenings and outreach programs.
Her practice offers comprehensive eye examinations, evaluation and treatment of ocular emergencies, contact lens fittings, annual diabetic dilated exams, treatment and management of eye diseases. She also offer eye exams in Urdu.
Dr. Kiani is a fellow at the American Academy of Optometry, and is presently a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key Society.

Dr. Kiani offers comprehensive and medical optometry, as well as soft, hard and speciality contact lens fitting for all ages. She welcomes ocular emergencies, annual diabetic dilated exams, treatment and management of ocular diseases.
