Biosketch

Susan Hannah Hadary has been honored with an Academy Award®, national Emmy nominations, regional Emmy awards, the Peabody Award and numerous international awards. She has a B.A. from Bennington College and a Masters Degree from Catholic University. Her documentaries on Advocacy for Mainstreaminginclude King Gimp, Bong and Donnell, Beginning with Bong, Rachael-Being Five, Rachael-In Middle School, Shakissha and Friends, and Sarah’s Graduation.  Other Hadary award winning documentaries are “Love, Josh,” “Grace,”  “Marge and Walter” and “Departing Rosewood.” Her national releases include several series for Discovery Health and Discovery Life featuring the Shock Trauma Center and University of Maryland School of Medicine students in a series entitled “MedSchool.”  She has had  three documentaries released on HBO and several programs recently released or about to be released on MPT including “Walter P. Carter,” “Understanding Joy” and “29 Years: Bong, Sarah and the King.

In addition to producing documentaries, Hadary also works with faculty at the School of Medicine and other professional programs to produce educational materials, public awareness programs and special public relations videos.  Many of her training materials related to healthcare needs of the elderly are distributed on Amazon and are used by over 10,000 organizations throughout the country. She has also been the project director on several public awareness and community outreach campaigns for The Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling.
