Dr. Farooq completed her undergraduate education and medical school training at the Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College through the Accelerated Premedical-Medical Combined B.S/M.D. Program. She pursued Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and joined the faculty as part of the hospitalist group. She is currently an attending on Med 6, the non-teaching hospitalist service. She has a future interest in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
