Division of Cardiovascular Medicine
I am proud to be part of a talented division with world-class colleagues doing exceptional work in cardiovascular medicine. We are committed to excellence in clinical care and the pursuit of ground-breaking research.
For our patients, this means a top-notch team of experts in cardiovascular medicine who provide award-winning patient care at a major referral center close to the nation’s capital. Our patient care efforts are supported by our complex research into the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, helping us challenge the frontiers of cardiovascular care.
Our active participation in outreach activities such as Mini-Med School, health fairs, blood-pressure screenings, and risk factor screenings educate Maryland residents about the steps they can take to keep their hearts healthy, while strengthening heart disease management and public health. Our ambulatory care presence in downtown Baltimore and in multiple locations of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) allows us an expanded opportunity to serve residents across the state.
We invite you to explore our faculty biographies and review our patient care services. We encourage medical students and residents to peruse information on our educational offerings and fellowship training. Our calendar of events lists upcoming grand rounds, section conferences, and research seminars open to all healthcare professionals and academic faculty and staff within the University of Maryland system. Those wishing to help us continue achieving our goals may make a donation.
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has a long history of seminal achievements. This dedication to patient care, research, and education continues today and ensures our place as a leader in cardiovascular treatment and research. Together with the University of Maryland Comprehensive Heart Center, we are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with heart disease using the latest innovations in cardiovascular care.
