Open Faculty Positions

Academic Nephrologists (Positions 3-309-914 and 3-309-930)

The Nephrology Division of the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has openings for our expanding clinical programs on our nephrology, dialysis and transplant services.  In addition to inpatient and outpatient clinical services, the candidate will also be expected to be involved in focused basic/clinical research.  These positions require an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), and candidates must be eligible for an independent Maryland medical license.  Successful candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.  Excellent clinical and teaching skills are also required, as instruction of medical residents and fellows is integral to our clinical programs. 


Faculty rank for all positions is expected to be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
