Academic Hepatologist (Position 3-309-953 & 968)

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Midtown Campus, and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC) seeks full-time, BC/BE Hepatologists. Candidates must have GI, Hepatology, and Liver Transplant Training, strong clinical, endoscopic, and teaching skills, and the motivation to increase our referral base. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license.  Expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Gastroenterology/Hepatology Physician/Scientist (Position 3-309-954)

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC) are recruiting a full-time board-certified (Internal Medicine and GI) academic gastroenterologist or hepatologist with a federally funded research program.  Candidates must have a strong record of research creativity and productivity.  The primary focus for this position is research, but the successful candidate must possess clinical and endoscopic skills to supervise and teach fellows.  Strong record of publications in high-impact journals and NIH funding are required.  Expected faculty rank for this position is Associate Professor or Professor, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Medical Director for Academic Liver Transplant (Position 3-309-959)

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full time, board certified, experienced Hepatologist to serve as Medical Director of our academic Liver Transplant Program at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Midtown Campuses.  Candidates must have GI and Hepatology training with extensive liver transplant experience, strong clinical, endoscopic and teaching skills, and the motivation to expand our liver programs.  This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license.

Expected faculty rank will be Associate Professor or Professor, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. We offer competitive salary and benefits.

Academic Gastroenterologist (Position 3-309-962)

The Department of Medicine's Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Midtown Campus, seeks a full-time, well-trained gastroenterologist to lead and expand our current academic Esophageal Diseases Program.  Successful candidates must have GI and Hepatology training, with extensive experience in esophageal manometry and disease, strong clinical, endoscopic, and teaching skills, and the motivation to expand this destination program. Additionally, all candidates must be board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology and eligible to obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.  Expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
