The DRIFT (Discovery Research in Founder Population Traits) Consortium invites you to a 1-day symposium that will highlight accomplishments in genomic discovery and clinical translation by field-leading investigators from academia and industry who are working with founder populations. Presenters will share their latest research and discuss special issues related to working with these groups (e.g., cultural considerations, analytical considerations and return of results). The meeting will include a tribute to the late Victor McKusick, a pioneer in studies of the Old Order Amish, as well as networking opportunities to advance genomic discovery and translation in founder populations.

The Symposium is co-hosted by the University of Maryland Program for Personalized and Genomic Medicine and the Regeneron Genetics Center.
