MPH Teaching and Mentoring Award

This award recognizes excellence in teaching by faculty in the School of Medicine's MPH Program. Teaching, in this context, is broadly defined and includes activities inside and outside classroom settings.

  • Faculty were nominated based on the following characteristics:
  • Innovation, leadership, impact and excellence in teaching inside and outside the classroom;
  • Evidence of a substantial number of students positively influenced by the nominee
  • High standards and outstanding moral character as a role model;
  • Stimulation of learning, generating passion and intellectual curiosity;
  • Research guidance and oversight that generates excitement; and
  • Personal traits leading to excellence in mentoring
