Admissions - Criteria
All application materials must be received by the published deadline to be considered for the current admissions cycle. Incomplete application portfolios will not be reviewed for admission consideration until all required materials have been received. Incomplete applications with be held in the Department for a maximum of 12 months.
The Department of Medical & Research Technology (DMRT) is a department housed within the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The DMRT offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical and Research Technology. Students may specialize in one of two tracks: the medical technology track or the biotechnology research track. Students who have fulfilled the Department’s prerequisite coursework transfer into the program at the onset of their junior year. Sixty credit hours of prerequisite coursework in the following areas are required for entrance to the program.
