Driving Directions are to the Penn Street Garage

The University of Maryland School of Medicine is easy to reach by Interstates 95, 70, 83, I-495 (Washington Beltway), and I-695 (Baltimore Beltway.)

From the South: Follow 495 (Washington Beltway) to Exit 27 toward Baltimore/New York I-95 North. Take Exit 53(395 North) toward Downtown/ Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., stay right on Martin Luther King Blvd. proceed 1.0 miles, then turn right on W. Pratt Street. Penn Street Parking Garage first Parking Garage on your left in the middle of the block. If you miss this entrance make a left on Penn Street and enter at the Penn Street Garage entrance.

From the North: Follow I-95 South through the Fort McHenry Tunnel to Exit 53 (395 North) Follow the signs for Martin Luther King Blvd., stay right on Martin Luther King Blvd. proceed 1.0 miles, then turn right on W. Pratt Street. Penn Street Parking Garage is the first parking garage on your left in the middle of the block. If you miss this entrance make a left on Penn Street and enter at the Penn Street Garage entrance.

From I-83: Follow I-83 (the Jones Falls Expressway) to the end. Go three traffic lights and turn right onto Lombard Street. Follow Lombard Street for approximately 1.0 miles pass the Homer Gudelsky Building then make a left onto Penn Street.

From the West: Take I-70 east to I-695 South (Glen Burnie). 695 to I-95 North. Take Exit 53 (395 North) toward Downtown/ Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. stay right on Martin Luther King Blvd. proceed 1.0 miles, then turn right on W. Pratt Street. Penn Street Parking Garage is the first parking garage on your left in the middle of the block. If you miss this entrance make a left on Penn Street and enter at the Penn Street Garage entrance.

From BWI Airport: Follow I-295 North to Baltimore. I-295 becomes Russell Street. Follow Russell Street past both Stadiums and Russell Street merges into Paca Street. One block after crossing Pratt Street turn left on Lombard Street. Go to second light and make a left onto Penn Street. The Penn Street Garage is located on the right.

Parking Information

We do not validate your parking. Drive in the garage and take a parking ticket. Park your car on any level based on availability of space. When you take the elevator to the ground floor you will exit onto Penn Street. Turn left on Penn Street and walk one block to the entrance of Health Sciences Facility II. Entrance of the building is located at the corner of Lombard & Penn Streets.
