Travelers' Health Clinic
The Travelers' Health Clinic, directed by Wilbur Chen, MD, MS, and staffed by CVD internists and pediatricians, offers comprehensive health care for those planning visits overseas, especially to tropical and subtropical countries and to more temperate countries in Eastern Europe and Asia. This clinic is offered as a not-for-profit service to the Baltimore community. Our fixed fees and charges are minimized to offer the most competitive prices and to reduce the burden of your overall travel costs.
Services include immunizations to prevent yellow fever, typhoid fever, hepatitis A, meningococcal meningitis, Japanese encephalitis, and other infections found in host countries. Travelers are educated about other health risks and how to prevent them, including travelers’ diarrhea and other food and water borne infections, malaria and insect-borne infections, altitude sickness, and local crime activity.
The Travelers’ Health Clinic offers diagnostic and treatment services for diseases and conditions contracted overseas.
To make an appointment, please phone the Department of Medicine Faculty Practice Office at 410-328-5196. The Clinic meets every Wednesday from 1:15 PM to 4:30 PM and the second and fourth Friday of the month from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
