Faculty Term Renewals

Reminders

We will remind you of significant tenure track and non-tenure track review dates.
As soon as the formal process is complete and it is clear that the faculty member will be renewed, we require that you submit a FACULTY APPOINTMENT RENEWAL INFORMATION SHEET (FARIS) for each tenure track and non-tenure track faculty.

December 31, 2011: Deadline to inform tenure track faculty initially appointed for two years of further term appointment or termination beyond June 30, 2012.
February 28, 2011: Deadline to inform tenure track faculty who are completing their second full fiscal year on the tenure track of further term appointment or termination beyond June 30, 2012.
June 30, 2012: Deadline to inform tenure track faculty who are entering their third to eighth year of appointment on the tenure track of further term appointment or termination beyond June 30, 2013.

December 31, 2011: Deadline to inform all non-tenure track faculty who have been here as faculty for seven or more years and whose term of appointment ends June 30, 2012, of non-renewal effective July 1, 2012. All non-tenure track faculty who have been here for seven years or more are to be given six months notice prior to the end of their current term of appointment that they will not be renewed beyond the end of that term.
March 31, 2012: Deadline to inform all non-tenure track faculty who have been here as faculty for less than seven years and whose term of appointment ends June 30, 2012, of non-renewal effective July 1, 2012. All non-tenure track faculty who have been here less than seven years are to be given three months notice prior to the end of their current term of appointment that they will not be renewed beyond the end of that term.
