Faculty Change-in-Status: Changing Tenure

Changing from Tenure Track to Non-Tenure Track

This change requires only the Dean’s approval as long as the faculty member is only changing their tenure status and their FTE is remaining the same.

Please submit one copy of the following:  

• Chair’s letter requesting the change
• Letter from faculty member acknowledging the change
• CV and CV verification  
• FARIS (Faculty appointment renewal information sheet)  

Changing from Non-Tenure Track to Tenure Track

These changes are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the faculty member’s rank and history on the tenure track.
